Penn and Colorado back in the BLUE!
http://www.electoral-vote.com/

Kerry wins if so, without FL and NV. Why? Because he picks up one other state than 2000 Gore, Colorado.

1. I like the look of that map
Give us real hope. I think a good turnout might give us a few more states.

3. Things look well.
Right now, the Gore states look more and more like a certainty:
- The left coast looks more solid.
- The midwest looks more consistent now, and only at his post-convention polling peak could Bush beat Kerry here.
- The northeast is solid Kerry, as always.

New Hampshire looks like a certainty. That's 4 more EVs.

So.. we just need 6 more electoral votes. And we have a variety of places in which to look:
- Arkansas
- Arizona
- Nevada
- Colorado
- Missouri
- Tennessee
- Ohio
- Virginia
- North Carolina
- Florida

For being just 1 week after the Chimp's convention, we look to be in prtty good shape. I hope that the debates go well..

7. It will be interesting to see my home state, AZ.
I would have said it was gonna stay red, but our recent primary had EVERY hard-line conservative Republican winning their races--we are talking the wack-job types.

Since few people vote in the primaries, I don't think it can really be called a trend, BUT...

It has received a tremendous play in the media, and our Dem governor (Napolitano) may be pushing HARD for Kerry to come to Arizona to help her win a D legislature.

I don't know why, I just still have a really good feeling about AZ this year.

Registrations are up in every other part of the state (Maricopa county, home of Phoenix, is pretty solidly R) so we shall see.

Edwards comes to Tucson this week, wish I could be there.

4. kick ass!
Save any disaster like a terrorist attack, I think we got this in the bag. Kerry should get a further bump after the debates, especially if he takes off the gloves and goes for the jugular.

And Bush was just in my neck of the woods the other day! It was like feeding time in the Hyena cage for the freepers. They were about to kill each other for tickets. Then Bush's whole speech was like duh...so I hear you like hunting...I like hunting too...hehehe.

5. Yess! And 91,000 new voter registrations
2/3 of whom were Democratic or independent (unaffiliated). I'm working with the campaign here, and optimism is running high! MKJ

The tide is turning people, John Kerry is closing this election out.

Missouri and Arkansas also ripe for the taking.

10. Yep...And Whoda Thunk It??
Fucking COLORADO....BLUE??? Whoda thunk it, man??

but, the ironoc thing of it may be that, if we win CO, and the bill we backed allowing CO to split electorals goes thru...and we get only five of the 9 electorals...that puts Kerry at 269...and if Bush gets all the tie states at the moment, we end up with a 269-269 Electoral tie!
And you know who wins if THAT happens!!

AND, if it does, I predict this country is gonna literally EXPLODE! The anger will be more than many can contain anymore, and you will see mass protests and riots the likes of which even GOD has never seen! It will make the 1968 DNC Convention, the Watts riots, the Rodney King riots...combined, all look like a day in the park!

I'm telliing you, people on our side just are not going to tolerate a loss like that...not after 2000, not after four years of hell with the Bush*it Administration...no, too many on our side are now filled with the kind of righteous anger that can only be expressed one of two ways. win, or all hell breaks loose...wait and see if I'm not right on this one.
