Our elected representatives have been beholden to those that fund their campaigns increasingly for many years.

It's a goddamn den of thieves up there. I believe it's those influences that caused our Democrats to cave in on the Iraq War, to name just ONE heinous piece of Bush Junta shenanigans.
If you want to believe that "faulty intelligence" and "we were lied to" horse-shit... as good Democrats, I guess that's your prerogative.

I think they're all talk and no walk because of fear and filthy lucre.

THAT is the Water that Obama must swim in.

If Obama was perceived by these entrenched forces (Military-Industrial Complex-Energy Transnationals, blah blah blah) as a threat HE WOULD NEVER have gotten positive press. Even that thin, barely audible thread on MSNBC (can you say nukular?)

The American people got online, got a little bit of truth from the MSM... finally (thank you) saw these high yodelling, foaming at the mouth propogandists for what they are... and we got President Obama.

Now, that said... do YOU think that ALL these people in DC don't WANT to do what's right? what they KNOW is right? You're wrong. Lots of them do. They're Americans. Obama is giving them a chance to redeem themselves. Do you think there aren't elements within the power structure of this government, that wouldn't outright KILL a low level bureaucrat or politician for REALLY speaking truth to power?

I'd be scared too.

I don't love nor trust HRC. But seriously, do YOU BELIEVE SHE WOULD UNDERMINE THE SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES BY PLAYING LITTLE FUCKIN GAMES WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT BARACK OBAMA WOULD PERMIT SUCH BULLSHIT?

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT, THE STATE DEPARTMENT, THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE UNDER OBAMA'S DIRECTION WOULD PERMIT SUCH BULLSHIT, EVEN IF SENATOR CLINTON WAS WHATEVER IT IS YOU THINK SHE IS?

good grief

Now I don't want to call anyone "stupid," or "crazy," ok? Ya'all are some very smart people and you educate ME, all the time (much to my chagrin and sometimes, embarrassment).

But I always told my kids "You don't have to be stupid, to DO or SAY stupid shit." In case they had bright and creative friends, playing with drugs, dropping out of school or engaging in unprotected sex. That way they might be less inclined to follow their little high school heroes off a damn cliff.

I may be some working stiff with big biceps and a bad back, OK? I ain't one of you political wonks.

But you are talking OUT OF YOUR ASS, if you believe any of this crazy assed shit you are postulating.

thank you

rant over

have a sweet day

5. I like movies. Fascinated by the art. Something I've noticed over the years:
Some actors are ALWAYS good. They will always find the right nuance in a part.

Other actors CAN be good. And when they are good, they're great. But when they aren't they are really, really disappointing.

The good actors can be counted on, regardless. The others require a GOOD director. A poor director will let them get away with a half-assed performance, or let them run away with the script, ruining the picture.

From what I've seen, Obama is a good director. He has his vision of the final product, and he will get good performances out of his cast - even those DLC Clintonites that I, as a leftie, wouldn't trust any farther than I could throw them if they were running things on their own.

I see no reason to second-guessing his picks.
