Obama works to save the economy on a personal level!

I have a contact in Chicago and was talking with him this morning. He said that Obama is still going out to his favorite eateries from time to time.

My contact said that last week, Obama and all his secret service entourage headed over to a deli so that PEO could get a sandwich. The folks at the counter offered it on the house, but Obama would have nothing of it. He insisted on paying for it, telling the clerk that he shouldn't get any special treatment.

How's that for humble?

1. What we really need is for the RNC to re-issue a Palin clothing allotment.
That'll give the retailers a jump-start for the holidays.

2. Yeah, but this time she needs to shop at smaller-scale stores
like Target and Kmart.

She probably wouldn't be caught dead there, though. :)
