But won the Electoral College?
Something tells me that wouldn't be nearly as good of sports about it as we were about Gore in 2000.

1. Oh they'd lose their minds |
|
They'd rant for the next six Dem administrations, threaten revolt, threaten assassination, and anything else you can think of. It's only fair play when THEY do it.

4. The Bushies were planning |
|
for this very scenario in 2000, and it wasn't pretty.

7. They certainly encouraged a riot during the vote count. |
|
Revolt? That'd be peanuts to them.

9. Clinton beat them fair and square |
|
And they spent the next 8 years trying to overthrow his Presidency.
Do you really think they'd just get over it if they won the popular vote but lost the election?

12. No, they won't get over it |
|
The blatant hypocrisy of it would be irrelevant. They want absolute power and believe it is their divine right to have it at all costs.
They will do everything they possibly can to deny Kerry the Presidency should it turn out like 2000. They will not go quietly, I assure you.

15. We'd only hear the end of it when Kerry appointed an honest man |
|
or woman to head the FCC. Bring back the Fairness Doctrine and put some rules in place to make sure the GOPuke pundits don't get the chance to ride roughshod over the truth.
And bring back the rules about common ownership of various media in any given market. If Murdoch wants to own the Post, let him give up FAUX NEWS. Same with Scaife and the rest.
Let's level the playing field, even if we have to use RPG's to do it.

14. New Fox News show. "President Kerry, a question of legitimacy." |
|
plus, every time Brit Hume opens his mouth, he'd say, "We must not forget that President Kerry did not win the popular vote."
