1. Totally a girly dog. That thing would pass as a stuffed animal in any pink room in America.

Go with a big rowdy dog, Obama. Your girls are big enough to handle it! (or else, get two)

5. Get a dog from the animal shelter.
I have gotten my last three dogs from the local pound, all quite large, all beautiful and gentle with my kids.

it shouldn't be considered a dog.

13. I am funny...
if given the choice between owning a German Shepherd and a cat, I would pick GS. If given the choice between a small dog and cat, I would choose a cat. Big dogs serve a purpose- protection. Cats serve a purpose- rodent control. Plus, cats are quite independent. Little dogs? Not quite sure.

15. Actually there have been a lot of studies that little dogs scare people away from the house
just as effectively. It's the noise that does it. Also I don't have to pick up human sized turds every single day or clean up buckets of urine when my pup has an accident :P

And he's so cute :D I love my puppeh

I hope what I said didn't come across as slamming your dog. If it did, I apologize. And if I were around your dog for some reason, I would probably melt a little bit and play with it :)

and it's really silly hehe. He used to wear a spiked collar... then he ate it. Tough little pound of fuzz that he is hehehehehe.

19. Noise Makers

High pitched yapping makes my eyes bleed.

It's funny. I've always been a cat person. Grandma always had small dogs that were either vicious and noisy or just noisy. So, I didn't get along with them well, nor did my cat(s). One cat in particular, Pepper, was pretty good at torturing them, driving them to new levels of madness.

At one point, though, I got a rough collie named Brandie, not a huge dog, but certainly not small. She and my cats, especially Pepper, got a long great ... even snuggled together.

... and picked on my Grandma's poodle incessantly.

21. Exactly lol
"High pitched yapping makes my eyes bleed."

Though I gotta tell you - the worst noise in the neighborhood is a German Shepherd who thinks he's some kind of Opera star. He sings every single morning in this wierd whiny soprano. GAH make it stop!

24. Oh definitely ...

Border collies can also be extremely annoying, the ones who "whine" when they want to play, which is basically whenever they aren't eating or sleeping.

And sometimes while they are sleeping.

One of the worst night's of sleep I ever got was when visiting a friend who had two of them. They were great dogs, but Oh. My. God. they would not shut up, ever. One of 'em actually did lay by the foot of my bed and whine while it at least seemed to be sleeping.

They apparently took one look at me and thought NEW PLAYMATE!!!!!!

Just being friendly, of course.

And I wanted to muzzle them.

26. Lol yeah my dog whines sometimes but mostly he mrrfs like he's talking to himself
Inquisitive mrffs, impatient mrffs, angry mrffs. It's pretty damn funny actually. He also sighs when I sit down at the computer and yips when he needs help finding something. Hilarious little booger.

14. Reminds me of a funny story about a bad ass cat we once owned. He was
a mutt but looked siamese and big. We let him out to do his business and he would perch on a wood pile we had in back. The neighbor's little dog was out and apparently smelled the cat so started to follow the scent. He went around and around the woodpile and by the time the dog decided to look up the cat was on his way down on top of him, claws out. Nothing hurt but the dog's pride, never came to our side of the fence again.

22. Funniest dog moment I ever saw...
I would go over to my buddies to drink beer, and he had a big black lab. Whenever a cat would be in the area, the dog would look at him as if to ask permission to chase it. He would say "go ahead" and the dog would chase it, not to attack it but for the fun of the chase. So, we are sitting on the front porch, and a BIG tom is strolling across the street. We dispatch the dog, and the cat stops dead in its tracks and turns on the dog as if to say "bring it on". The dog just ran a big circle around the cat and came sulking back while we were laughing at him.

30. What I don't get is the idea of a "hypoallergenic dog".
Even hairless breeds can cause allergies to flare up, as it's the dander and the saliva that most people are allergic to, not the hair.

Same thing in cats.

I'm allergic to both dogs and cats. Mildly allergic, fortunately, although it was worse when I was a kid. Our furkid is a Himalayan, and if the hair was what caused them to irritate allergies I would have had a lot more trouble with him than I've had with other cats, and it's not the case at all.

Better for them to get a healthy shelter dog and save a pup's life than to buy a dog that is allegedly hypoallergenic.
