Poll question: Post Election Blues? Anyone?
Edited on Thu Dec-04-08 09:42 PM by rhombus
I admit, I miss the "rush" from checking the polls, hitting my favorite blogs, arguing with some right wing friends of mine, etc. Just the feeling of doing something to finally get a DEMOCRAT into the White House after all these years. Now that we have Barack elected, I'm feeling a bit depressed. Is this how multimillionaires feel after making their first million? Ack

dem leadership since 2000 - that is a hell of a long time. Two high school 4 yr terms.

8. What I don't miss
Is the constant threads from the right wing trolls who wanted to divide DU. I also do not miss the constant "poll" threads and how one day of low polls was certain "doom", according to some. And I don't miss all the threads about "PALIN"!

One last thing I will not miss is "GEORGE W. BUSH"! I am glad that the number of days he has left are getting less and less.

10. I think is a weird time - feeling anxious for new things to go into effect
but we have to wait out the clock and hope everything doesn't go to hell even faster in the next month.

11. NO!
Eight years of anger and frustration...then the stress of the election, not knowing what would happen....Bradley Effect and all made it impossible to trust polls, etc.

I am so happy it's done and over and SO deliriously happy that Obama won. I feel relief and pure joy and now I can relax and watch junk TV.

13. Yes sort of .. it's a major adjustment for me
I've changed the way I live my life so drastically
over the last 8 years . I feel almost reborn sort of
in a way .. I don't know if those are the correct
words to use .

14. Got the blues but it's because the economy sucks
I don't really miss the commercials, polls, or anything really...it was time for a little break. Too bad Sarah Palin won't go away so we could have a break from her.

15. I actually miss making fun of McCain using the clever Mc's, McInsane was my favorite
McCain was actually so out of all of the time that it got funny at the end..."where's Joe? Anyone seen Joe the plumber?" But I don't miss the constant anxiety and anger at McCain/Palin. I am really looking forward to the inauguration. It will be great to see Obama and Biden sworn in. And nothing to be depressed about a Dem coming in to change some things Bush screwed up.

I've been appalled with the entire freak show since last January. I don't view it any differently today.

18. I did for about 8 hours on Nov. 5th ...
.... I was suffering from non-stop election coverage to a big lull in activity so I changed the channel! lol

And the 6th kinda sucked too.

But then that press conference on the 7th happened .... and it's been superfun ever since!

21. Not me. I'm happy and can actually sleep.
I'll get worried again in 2009 when I really think about all Obama has to deal with, and how he'll be attacked by both sides.

But for now, contentment and relief.
