1. I love the pictures of him in the bumper cars.
Barack and Malia look like they're having a lot of fun.

2. I always thought the reason the put Bush on a bike is....
because it is hard to look like a doofus on a bicycle.

That's why he was a cheerleader. Too uncoordinated to play.

I watched a clip of his "Now watch this drive" moment recently, and his swing was embarrassing to behold.

3. Obama's such an inspiration for all kinds
of change..not excluding getting in shape. Thanks Jackeens, I especially like the pool table shot 'cause I just played it with my son, daughter, and granddaughter in Portland, Ore over the Thanksgiving Holiday:bounce:

We were out in the garage and it was cold(jackets on) so that shot Obama's making would have been a little difficult.

4. He likes boxing.
He boxed as a kid, and still enjoys the sport. He was in contact with Bernard Hopkins before the Kelly Pavlik fight.

10. Very good!
I liked how Bernard spoke to Barack & Michelle when he was interviewed in the ring after the fight.

It's also interesting that a number of trainers/cornermen have been wearing Obama T-shirts in the ring since late summer. Haven't seen a single McCain T-shirt, even though he has been a boxing fan for decades.

5. That pic of Obama doing chin-ups in his suit is hysterical.
I love this guy.

12. There's a story that goes with that.....
Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 08:13 PM by FrenchieCat
Although I can't seem to find it, and remember it too vaguely to post my recollection of it beyond saying that I do remember that he did more than one chin up, and it was right before he was about to step out and give a campaign speech!

13. I love the caption to that one: "Two staffers had just passed this site and done two pull-ups. Not
to be outdone, Obama did three with ease, dropped and walked out to make a speech. Missoula, Mont., 4/5/2008.

6. So cute and the YouTube video is good too...
I love to watch Michelle and Barack together. No fake hugs and kisses there, just true love.

7. It's helpful that he is involved in so many things!
He works out every day, and that is probably why he is so collected all the time. He gets the tension out with exercise. You never saw pictures of the Bush family doing anything family-like or interesting, eh? What DID he do with his spare time?

Obama is setting a great example for the world, not just our country. Thanks for always posting a zillion photos. I love that!

9. I *REALLY* hope he plays basketball instead of golf during his presidency
I'm sorry but golf is corny. Ok well maybe not when Tiger plays it but...

16. Great pix!
The only ones I don't get are where he's climbing over the hurdles on the track. They look rather awkward and he's certainly not dressed for running/jumping, so I don't understand what he was doing.

17. There's a video somewhere of that day....
...just can't remember where. I tried YouTube but I can't find it. Any way, he was just making fun of himself, he talked to the athletes about how tricky the hurdles looked, and how he wasn't really dressed to even give them a try. But he had a go, in a completely comical way - as you can see from the photos.

That makes perfect sense and it totally sounds like him.

Thanks for the backstory! :hi:
