1. Making Hillary out to be this weak and vulnerable person because she's a woman almost seems.....
sexist.

3. Playing up the sexism card worked out so well for candidates in 2008.
It's a winning strategy for any female candidate! :eyes:

5. And that was a major difference between the two in the primary. One was largely successful
in moving beyond identity politics, while the other was drawn deeper into them as the primary went on.

I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which.

21. I agree with your post. The guy who won the whole election obviously did a pretty good job.
He also made a point of staying away from "ism" politics except when forced into it.

Primaries aside, Palin/McCain camp tried, laughably, to indulge in the "that's terribly sexist!" game too, seeing as how it worked out so well in the Democratic primary. It worked equally well for them. I really don't know what they were thinking with that shit. They either are so stupid they honestly thought they'd pick up a substantial chunk of HRC voters with blatant pandering... or ... I don't know what.

Hillary should be afraid of this guy or something. Give her some credit.

Water, go under the bridge now. Flow the fuck out of here.

15. Even her cardboard cutout is a turn-on for most men
although a few of them won't admit it here because of political reasons. ;)

I know plenty of men who'd pay $50 bucks to wait in line to kiss a cardboard cut-out of Hillary. It would be a good way to raise money for our Party, don't you think? :)

who she allows to kiss her(or any reproduction of her)? I frankly know absolutely no men or women who would pay even $1 to kiss a cut out of anybody. I guess I am part of a more conservative crowd.

9. why would you think people are talking about them being oppressed?
i think people are saying the action was tacky and tasteless. I am sure hillary and obama will survive, but hillary has survived several anti hillary books etc. that doesnt mean the action is necessarily the right action

i think you are putting your own spin on this.

But even smart people do stupid things. Unfortunately in the age of the internet, lots of people find out about these things.

17. It's not them: it's us. Obama may be president, but the stats for AA men are still bad
Life expectancy, prison, poverty, etc. Hillary Clinton may be SOS but most women make less that 3/4 on the dollar of what men make and are raising children on it. While I am thrilled at the diversity in our government, let us not forget that all is not well or equal.

help. It makes us look silly along the lines of "cry wolf".

I just hate to see the word "oppressed" thrown around like that. We need to save it for situations in which it has more meaning.
