OMG! I just got a call from my Congressman!!! I'm Inauguration Bound!
Now comes the fight in the family and friends with who goes with me. OH Damn, I am excited.

4. you received a call from your Congressman, did you ask
him/her for ticket, or do you need to ticket to attend, I thought I heard if constituents call their Congressman they can get tickets.

There are lots of bus charters, I know that. Rooms are about gone. I've been telling people Delaware and take the train in. I checked Baltimore a while back and it seemed like it was filling up fast. They kind of waited a while to notify people about the tickets. I'd be glad to try to poke around, where are you at?

16. OK, here's how it happened (she says in her best Monk voice)....
I had seen somewhere that if you wanted tickets you had to go to the Congressman's (McHugh - NY 23rd, the Tundra, -8 degree this AM). So I entered, and lo and behold his office this morning called. I get two tickets for the North Viewing area, standing. They will be delivered to my home via FedEx via the 14 or 16, but I'll be damned if I know if that's Dec or Jan. Guess I better call them back.

My 23 yr old daughter and I are going, but we need some help with the logistics.
Should we drive to a certain point and then bus it from there?
Anybody know if they are allowing cameras or cell phones?

and we were considering a room in Richmond... but they are getting expensive and filling up fast. Our other option was camping (tent and sleepbags).
