this is from a board where everyone wants bush out
yet they are talking not even voting. i put out kerry is not the same as bush. go out and vote. yet this person put this up. to tired to go after this myself. so easy comments to go after specific claims would appreciate. gonna conclude, the reason senators never run for president is exactly this, how they vote on issues is open for examination, yet they do things differently as president. so, with what you all share, i am going to put into the appropriate places so i can put back on board. already some in unaware are questioning if all these are true. that is a good thing.

Kerry is so "full of it". He cannot stand toe to toe with Bush as he proclaims. If he could stand up, then:
Why did he vote for the war, which has now claimed 1007 Americans. 1007 Americans I will never get to know. Robert Byrd and John Conyers gave Senate and House speeches which highlighted the spinelessness of the rest of the party. http://icasualties.org/oif/

Why did he vote for no child left behind?

Why did he vote against the Defense of Marriage Act?

Why did he vote for the Bush-Ashcroft Patriot Act, which threatens our Civil Liberties?

Why did he vote for tax cuts for the wealthy?

Why did he call for abolishing the Department of Agriculture?

Why has Kerry has never demonstrated any real concrete plans to solve any of our problems.

What I have observed is that John Kerry is a weak Legislator who does not plan thoughtfully, does not have courage to stand up for his convictions, and is a poor crisis manager. Even "On the Job Trainning" will not help this second string Half-back rise to Quarterbacking our Country.

"Measure me by my life," Kerry is fond of telling audiences on the campaign trail. Well lets look at your accomplishments John Kerry: How about in 20 years in the US Senate, only 9 of your Bills became law, 6 of which were merely ceremonial, that is, naming office buildings, and yet John Kerry claims he knows about legislation.

Personally I will never forget that Kerry was one of 99 Senators who voted against the 9th Circuit Court and against the US Constitution.

In May 2002, the 9th District Court said that the "The Pledge, as currently codified, is an impermissible government endorsement of religion because it sends a message to unbelievers that they are outsiders, not full members of the political community, and an accompanying message to adherents that they are insiders, favored members of the political community."

In essense, they said "Under God" promoted a situation where atheists, polytheists, Buddhists, Deists, Wiccans, Humanists, female based monotheists, etc, are not members of the Community.

Written in 1892 and adopted by Congress as a patriotic tribute in 1942, the pledge did not originally include "under God.” Congress inserted the Constitutionally illegal phrase in 1954 during the Cold War.

However,...would Kerry be better then the sociopathic criminal Bush? Probably,...although I think the American Sheeple desire 4 more years of the current fascist theocrat.

KERRY
I've made mistakes, and I've done things that I regret, sure. I regret voting for Justice Scalia. I regret that any of us put faith in what the President said about how he would take America to war.

15. Kerry voted against the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest.
2001 and 2003.

Disrupting poseurs from the left take votes for alternative measures such as tax breaks for the working class and deliberately obscure the votes against the overall cuts that benefitted the wealthy.

18. the vote against DOMA
David Corn, in his article "What's Right With Kerry" quotes Kerry as
saying on the floor of the Senate "I am going to vote against this
bill...because it is fundamentally ugly, and it is fundamentally political." Kerry is also quoted in the article asserting the
legislation was "meant to divide Americans...If this were truly a defense of marriage act, it would expand the learning experience for would-be husbands and wives. It would provide for counseling for all troubled marriages, not just for those who can afford it. It would provide treatment on demand for those with alchohol and substance abuse...It would guarantee daycare for every family that struggles and needs it."

closing - "a hand grenade thrown at public education" - the purpose of humiliating schools....
Shame on all who voted and Kennedy for sponsoring it.

8. Fair Questions
It's fair to ask JFK to account for his votes while in the Senate, but they should realize that Kerry is still an enormous improvement over the liar who's squatting in the WH. There IS a difference, and it's HUGE.

11. No. That poster doesn't want Bush out. They repeat biased charges against
Kerry without any consideration whether they are true or not.

Disruptors posing as the left are common. David Horowitz got his start that way. Their goal is to suppress voter turnout on the left. You either call them on their tactic or let them have free rein.

26. patriot act, i see it like this
it was a time when 90% of the nation was in such intense fear. i dont think they had a choice. they knew it had its problems and they wanted them corrected but were promised wouldnt be abused. we see the abuse. clinton wanted one in place to give him more power to go after terrorists and the repugs shot it down. some of it was needed, but they didnt put in the things needed to not be abused

how is that
