The GOP last night voted for a return of 1932-1952 - Democratic dominance
Edited on Fri Dec-12-08 10:34 AM by scheming daemons
In their zeal to bust up the UAW, the GOP has ceded every state east of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon for the next couple decades.

Cheney is right when he said "It's Herbert Hoover time" the other day.

Just like in 1932, the GOP created a depression and then ceded the Government to the Democrats. Just like in 1932, the GOP has guaranteed that they will be on the outside looking in for decades.

Ironically... their only hope is for Bush to save them... by applying the TARP to the big 3. He *might* just care enough about his legacy to actually do it.

5. He's got the bully pulpit.
FDR: Use it, man!
ER: Uncle Ted would say something!
FDR: I just read he suggested "temporary assistance."
ER: Where's Walter Reuther when we need him?

3. Spokesperson Dana Perino stated yesterday that the president doesn't need....
another million workers out of a job.

Buxh's legacy, or what's left of it, is on the line here and he admits it.
His motives are selfish and forced. If he had felt he had a choice, you bet he'd be standing next to McConnell today with a smirk on his face.
