Bush urges A&M grads to consider a life of service
COLLEGE STATION — President George W. Bush urged new college graduates to embark upon a life of service today as he delivered the commencement address at Texas A&M University.

He also offered a little other advice: Listen to your mother, and honor your role models.

His parents, former president George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, just happened to be on hand for that message. They shared the stage at what Bush said would be his last commencement address as president.

"It's always an honor to be introduced by the president of the United States," Bush said. "Especially when he's your dad.

His father is not the President of the United States. He is a former President of the United States. He is no longer officially referred to as "Mr. President." As per the precedent set by George Washington, there is only one President of the United States, and unfortunately for us, right now it is still that brain-addled fool.

But not for long.

3. Looks like Shrub is forced to speak at one of the only colleges in the country
where he *might* have a net positive approval rating!

I just saw this story on a local news broadcast while at the laundromat. After some A & M student on the broadcast talked about how "they" still liked Shrub, partly "'cause he's a Texan," a woman working there said, sounding annoyed, "He's not even a real Texan. He was born in Connecticut." Some guy corrected her, saying she was thinking of the dad, but I had to butt in and set him straight. Politely, though, 'cause I don't believe the guy meant any harm, and may have not even been a Repug. I'm still a little surprised that the fact that Shrub wasn't born in Texas hasn't become common knowledge, though...
