Lets not forget, Rick Warren and Saddleback manipulated Obama's words and used it to target AAs
It has been noted from many news outlets that Rick Warren and his Saddleback church funded many groups that targeted African Americans with mailers and callers implying that Obama was against Prop 8th. They used the words that Obama said he is against Gay Marriage and implied that means a Yes on Prop 8 vote.

When the truth was that Obama was against Prop 8.

I have not been happy with all of Obama's cabinet picks, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But I am truly disappointed by this. Rick Warren does not represent the future. There are many pastors out there that speak equality and respect for everyone. Not someone who advocates the taking away of basic rights.

2. Yes, and Warren also set up Obama at that phony "forum"
in which McCain clearly had been given the questions.

And this is Warren's reward for fucking Obama over twice?????

3. Thank you. I really don't understand this choice on the part of Obama's team.
Rick Warren betrayed Obama by lying and claiming that McCain was in a "cone of silence." Warren mocked Obama's answers and attacked him after the debate. Warren is not in any way an ally or friend of Democrats. Why in the world elevate this man in this way?

As someone else posted here, sure, give Warren a place at a table. Sit down and talk with him. But don't ask him to give the prayer at the inauguration!!!
