1. I'd say 75% critical. It's pretty depressing here lately. nt

2. I look at Obama's moves thus far in much the same way that I
look at the fuel tank in my car... The gas is half full.

3. I just smile and try to forget that Obama picked the people he has. That way I feel good!

4. I have been willing to give benefit of doubt on all choices except the WRONG "Rev" Wright
To choose a sexist bigotted homophobic hate mongerer to deliver the invocation is TOTALLY unacceptable. PERIOD.
Pandering to fundies is one thing, but choosing "Rev" Wright is a huge slap in the face to all progressives. I am furious.

Every other choice he has made I was able to see a good reason for (even if only "keep your friends close, your enemies closer") but Wright is an affront that is absolutely unacceptable. I am a progressive liberal hetero woman who completely supports equal rights for all. And separation of church and state. Wright is absolutely WRONG as a choice for the invocation.

I do not believe that supporting Obama means I have to be lock-step with him when I believe he is WRONG.

8. Uh...Rick Warren is not Rev. Wright
Jeremiah Wright preaches against homophobia (although he is kinda sexist).

Wright would be a far better choice than that creep Warren.

5. DU is never happier than when it is complaining about something...
Usually other Democrats...

9. So Rick Warren is a "Democrat" now?
I doubt that. Even the DLC wouldn't claim him. :puke:

15. What you said.
Jeezily crow, but sometimes I wonder if DU isn't trying to compete with freeperville in the wrong way.

6. Jackeens_for_Obama wins.

She is probably the most positive Pro-Obama poster on DU. No matter what happens, if you click on one of her threads, by the end of it, you will be alright.

7. I feel that, as an Obama supporter, I'm in the minority on this site
Seems like the in thing is to bash him or question Obama's lib cred. Those who are still happy about Obama winning are treated like freepers.

12. It's depressing and disheartening, but most posts I see are critical of Obama.
We wait 8 years for a Democratic president and then pick him to pieces over what is perceived as his imperfect choices. Sad, and he hasn't even taken office yet.

16. Obviously, he does not meet the impossible standards of some here.
I'm not 100% behind what he is doing, but good grief, he's a thousand times better than Bush!

As to the Warren pick, makes me sick too.

But, I don't look at that pick as the definitive end-all, be-all of his Presidency.

18. Certainly critical. Good thing Obama has all our fine advice and direction -
He'd never find his way to DC for the inauguration.

He never would have been elected without our guidance, ya know, and then we would have been stuck criticizing McCain/Palin for at least 4 years.
