I miss Reverend Wright
I think part of why I liked him so much was because he was so anti-establishment, unconventional, cocky, funny as hell, truthful, witty, a ball of fire, and he was just plain cool. The best part was how he could make you laugh when he wanted. Nobody holds a candle to Reverend Wright.

I can sort of understand the tremendous pressure Obama was under to dump him so he wouldn't jeopardize his campaign, but when you really think about it, Jeremiah Wright got royally screwed. Who gives a shit if he wasn't perfect and if he said some things that some overly sensitive conservative dickwads took way too seriously. Overall the man is a gem and should never have gotten shunned for political purposes.

2. I agree.
The man was guilty of being a unrepentant truthmonger. Granted, his delivery could be harsh, but people who value the truth can handle that sort of thing.

5. I would have prefererred
Wright as well. Unfortunately folks don't want to hear the truth. I guess many folks heads would have exploded had he been invited to the inauguration.

9. He got "dumped" because of that press conference.....
..... not because of his Youtubes.

Or the local church did anyway. What Rev. Wright said in the Youtubes was spot on.

What he said in that press conference (and the very act of doing it) combined with the BS from Rev. Flager (sorry, sp?) was too much.

Remember how Ayers kept his mouth shut until after the campaign? THAT is how you do it.
