One of the best discussions on the choice of Warren for the invocation: David Shuster
Edited on Thu Dec-18-08 06:23 PM by LittleApple81
had Kathryn Kolbert (People for the American Way) and Sprigg (Family Research Council). I have to say Ms Kolbert was articulate, clear, and had very good points to make. Sprigg said he would have liked Warren not only as an invocation deliverer but as a member of the decision makers in the new government but that was not to be. Ms Kolbert said we had 8 years of that kind of participation by the religious right in the government and we could see the results.

2. Lucky for us he is saying a 2 minute prayer and will have no role in the administration. That is
difficult to tell with all the outrage.

4. It was very even. I thought it was a very good discussion... AND they
weren't screaming at one another... I like Schuster normally. He asked tough questions on both sides. It was good.

people on the gay marriage issue, I've seen it from him before. God, I hate the Family Research Counsil so much. I thought he was pricky. Oh yeah, and Shuster is much better tonight now that he's not on Blago watch....yet.

8. Props to Shuster today
He never gave Sprigg freedom to spew. And he allowed Kolbert the very last word.
