GREAT precinct walk today -- my report

So we had about 25 of us out walking my precinct today. We have no contested house or statehouse races in our precinct so it was all for Kerry and local candidates. About 50/50 R/D from our guess. Got about 50 yardsigns placed, registered about 15 voters. The best story, though, was from a guy who registered THREE voters, all of whom told him, "I would not have voted in this election had it not been for you."

Don't it just give ya the warm fuzzies? DAYUM.

THIS is how we will win the election...

Here in Virginia, the deadline for Voter Registration is on September 27th.....so we are working hard on Voter Registration....it AMAZES me, how many Virginians are NOT EVEN REGISTERED TO VOTE....but people seem to be excited and nervous about this election....Virginians want KERRY to be the USA PRESIDENT...and I have had similar experiences to you...


keep up the good work...and I HOPE that many other Americans STAND UP soon, take to the streets, and take back America just like that....it's so simple...if everyone donated a few hours of their time, in the next 50 days....WE WILL WIN !!!

ok we're not a swing state. (sux to have to PAY for your own damn yard signs) but we will be. and I have been doing voter reg with moveon and will squeeze in at least one trip to a swing state. but democracy begins at home! I'm not giving up Texas... we are laying our groundwork NOW for the next election too.

...at least not yet. I may try to do some of that before the election, but it seems like something comes up every weekend.

But I do have a sign in my yard here in Fort Worth, and as of this weekend I have a Kerry-Edwards sticker on my car (as does my neighbor across the street).
