2. I don't think that Obama does anything without thinking
it through.

I will continue to believe he has a reason for what he is doing.

I think he may be the first president we have ever had that is really trying to bring this country together.

19. I don't think he would openly.
I think that most likely though, that Warren IS racist.

He is not a good person, despite his work for the disadvantaged.

But I think Obama is going to be a good president; I think there is a method to the madness.

Just my opinion.

18. Thanks. (on the avatar thing!)
I am going to believe in this man. He is not even in office yet.

I was a Hillary supporter as I have said before. I am still disappointed she did not get the nomination.

But I am very happy with Obama. I think he will do the Democratic Party proud.

I do not understand the need to placate the conservative fundies what so ever. And this crap about buying political capital with this stunt is absurd. Make a stand and defend it. At. All. Costs.

5. Create a similar backlash against Warren
and he will. ColbertWatcher suggested everybody get the YouTubes of Warren saying some of his most outrageous things - where is it?

7. Devil's Advocate Only: I think it was very wrong to invite, but
to disinvite now, would make Obama look very weak...

Hey, don't kick me for the opinion, I'm with those who are appalled at his selection to speak, but I do think there is a major disincentive to changing his mind now that probably makes it unlikely.

14. Not in my book of ethics... but in the nasty world of politics where
the MSM builds you up and then destroys you in an instant......there will be repercussions.

16. He's been elected. With the help of the gay community.
And he has a Dem congress. So, repercussions are not the concern.

What is?

22. Again, devils advocate: He's trying to make it more difficult
for the RW to be permanent obstacles to all his initiatives. Now, I don't know if his strategy is totally naive' (as one might expect) or if it has merit, but those, I think are the repercussions that concern him.

8. he didn't throw Wright under the bus. Wright stabbed him in the back
and the reason he won't disinvite Warren, is because he figures he has more to lose than to gain, if he does so.

One more thing, who the hell is anyone here to judge Obama's personal relationships? And his relationship with Wright was deeply personal.

15. So did Warren. That whole "cone of silence" bullshit, and the loaded
questions at the forum. So, that's not the difference. What is?

There is no such thing as new politics. It is always played the same way.
