Poll question: ENOUGH of this insanity! DO YOU, or DO YOU NOT support President Obama?
Edited on Mon Dec-22-08 12:32 AM by Veganistan
I'm not talking about EVERY decision. I'm not saying "in perpetuity" for the REST OF YOUR LIFE or anything like that.

I'm saying, in general.

OK?

.... and I voted for the first option.

Oh, and an edit here: The last two options did not exist when it was first posted, and the fourth option down said something about "wanting to hate him" or something very similar, that one was changed from when I posted my comment.

same here.

It's the throwing aside of the 8 potential years of a a great Democratic Presidency because Obama is not marching in perfect rhythm to the tune inn MY head that I find ridiculous.

20. Exactly? I would never have guessed that from the way that your poll

reads.

Yeah, I heard Obama say he'd reach out, but there is a world of difference between honoring someone on Inauguration Day who spews hate and bigotry and trying to reach compromises with people throughout a Presidency.

Barney Frank has it exactly right. Meaning, of course, I agree with him entirely. (What else does that ever mean on a message board, LOL?) Many here don't get it as Frank does, though. Pity.

As far as throwing away 8 years, that is impossible. The most anyone here can do is not vote for him next time--four years, not 8. And who knows what will happen between now and 2012? Maybe people will cool down. Maybe he'll pull a Johnson and decide not to run. Who knows? Silly to worry about that today. Talk about borrowing trouble.

28. Still designed to make any opposition look unreasonable
I only voted for him because he was the last Democrat standing. I always expected he'd be a centrist, and I don't like centrists. Of course he hasn't taken office yet, but let's assume that I'm right and he'll be a centrist president. That means I won't like him. So if I don't like him do I support him? He's not McCain, that's all I support.

No thanks.

Oh yeah, and Rick Warren is still a terrible choice. Won't let "unrepentant" gays join his church. Check. Has programs designed to "cure" gays of being homosexual. Check. Equates gay people with child molesters and pedophiles. Check.

We aren't talking "differing view points" here. We're talking actively discriminating against gay folks, slandering them and spreading misinformation. Suggesting they can be cured, or need to be cured, is simply wrong on more levels than one.
