Do you talk the talk?
can you walk the walk?
if you like me have been pretty much just giving lip service support to the rights of glbt americans
then like me you need to take a hard look at what you believe
is equal equal?if like me you believe it is then now is the time to get to walking.
if like me you are not a member of the glbt community but support their quest for equality then again now is the time to get to walking
what do i mean by walking?i mean here in florida i will inspect the records of people asking for my vote.i will write to make my voice heard in my state and in my national representation.i will call their local offices and i will drop emails on them
heres congress e mail list
http://www.webslingerz.com/jhoffman/congress-email.html

i cannot advocate disruptive behaviours
i think they cost more credibility than they create change
but i can make myself heard by those who should be listening

i also would like links to any legal funds for the court cases that will be generated by the prop 8 vote
this would be a good step for any preparing to walk btw the legal issues involved in taking an established right from a minority by majority vote will be where the relief eventually comes from IMO

thanks for your time
i gotta get walking

3. I'm straight but I marched in a GLBT pride parade last year...
so I guess I "walked the walk" that day at least...

:)

5. I come from Ronda Storms country.
I've been thrown out of Commission meetings, I've been physically dragged off county property. I cherish the memory of splattering those haters with coffee via a Brett Favre hail-mary pass at their desk with a full bottle of water.

I do advocate disruption. I'm a direct action kind of guy.

7. Tampa.
Define successful. I've had two "incidents" in the GLBT public forum that the press covered. Otherwise, the press didn't give the meetings any press.

I've had a lot of "success" as an animal rights activist, so to speak. I use those tactics the same way. To be honest, the GLBT movement could learn quite a bit from us, as we can from them.

14. have you through disruption furthered your cause

i find most disruptive action turns away the public

15. Probably not. They're so poorly attended, I never go.
:+

I did make it up to T-ville to check out Obama. I need to be more involved in the local political scene.

The Crisafulli win upset me. I think it was all about name recognition. When you looked at the list of supporters in his TV ads, it was clear what side his bread was buttered on. Suffice it to say Merritt Island will have less orange groves in the future.

17. We moved to T-ville in '67 .
Talk about history, my husband's grandfather used to own land on the Indian River, down by the library. It was sold and new apartments were built. There was a huge fig tree on the property that he'd planted forever ago. It was cut down a few years back. That really sucked.

When they tore down the Brevard Hotel, I cried. They used to have this huge
Halloween party there, and the people would spend the night. It was a beautiful place. Oh, well what can you do? It's hard to fight "progress". :(

10. LGBT....Q
What's the Q?

Questioning: I may not always be attracted to people of a given identification. I don't "know" how I will always be.
Queer: I may not be LGBT, but some of my sex-life is more than "missionary with the lights out, under the covers, for procreation only", or I want it to be.
Quixotic: I have my own perspectives on sex, gender, and identity, I don't fit into a nice little box, and I don't think as others tell me how to think.

Welcome to the family, and the "agenda", of not being told how to run your life.

18. Seriously, though...
Furries.
Horse-play.
Bondage.
Costumes.
Role-play.
Lingerie.
Spanking.
Food-play.
Masturbation.
Sex outside of "marriage".

..these are the things (among others) that the "anti-sex" coalition is against. Pretty much *everybody* is targeted by the power-obsessed sex-fascists, but they don't quite realize it.
