My take on change.gov
I am disillusioned regarding what I see at change.gov. It's all one way.

The so-called "blog" has no feedback. There's no discussion whatsoever. You can send your thoughts off into the ether, but they don't get posted at change.gov, not even a sampling. (Unless I'm blind, which is quite possible, in which case would someone give me a link,please...?) (Others have, to the email "feedback" form, which I view, given my experience so far, about the same way I view a company's complaint site that doesn't really want to talk to you.)

I also notice giving your phone number is *not* optional. I find that offensive, and I gave them a fake one, of course.

They tell you what they want to, and you send off your emails to who knows what end. I feel like a Who who's been given an email account that's never read, as far as I can perceive. Maybe "they" are taking notice, but it doesn't show.

If there's another place where you actually *see* feedback, or if I'm missing same on change.gov, I would be more than happy to be corrected.

2. It's just so different from the campaign website,
where they allowed a big, noisy group against the FISA vote. Is that site, with the groups, still in operation? I did not use it much because it was not dialup-friendly at all. Couldn't navigate it without allowing images.

I'm thinking change.gov's feedback is mostly a way to collect names, addresses, emails, and telephone numbers, since all these fields are required on the form. Still, that was the major purpose of the campaign website as well..... ;)
