1. Pat B is not a neo-conservative
He's a paleo-con, but still basically supports Bush, unfortunately.

2. Pat is NOT a neocon!
He's a "traditional" conservative. In fact about a decade ago he was considered the scary end of the right wing fringe, just as Barry Goldwater was in 1964. Compared to the radical neocon fanatics, Pat's a sensible moderate and Goldwater's practically Liberal. In fact Nixon would easily be more liberal than the DLC.

Pat may have a lot of fucked up beliefs, but I consider him a conditional ally in the war against neocon fascism.

6. It really is scary when one can, without fear
of much of a counter-argument, state that Pat is, comparatively, a sensible moderate.

There are many who identify with him and the Kerry camp would do well to use a few of Pat's talking points, re-arranged of course, as long as they don't conflict with JFK's views.

Pat's going to get a lot of air time and is not afraid to say that Kerry is right if he truly believes so.

He's also useful on the plight of the working man, especially manufacturing jobs shipped out of the country.

On most other issues he reverts back to the jurassic era. That said, he can be one hell of a speechwriter, it would be fun to see how he would craft a Kerry speech.

10. Bull Shite! He's a Quasi-Nasi and Supported by KKK Members!!!!!!
David Duke and his followers love Pat Buchannan. It's all over Duke websites. Hell Pat had a known KKK White Supremacist working for him on his 2000 Prez election bid.

Pat is about as moderate as Hilter!

3. A broken clock is right twice a day....
Buchanan is NOT our friend.

He may not be Bush's friend either, but he is definitely not someone we should trust, admire or support.

He is a bigot and a religious wacko. His vision of America is not ours. Don't let his Bush bashing make you forget that.

4. They're right....
Pat Buchanan isn't a neo-con. He's catholic and he doesn't share the same dreams as the neo-conservatives.

7. Even so,
he's been saying this stuff about the neo-cons and the rush to war for a while.

A left leaning friend watched him weekend before last on his book tour, and just about fell out. "Oh my god, Pat Buchanan and I are almost on the same side. Surely the apocolypse is nigh."

But I agree. He's no Kerry fan. Kerry is too hawkish for him, and won't say that he's pulling out of Iraq immediately.

Pat Buchannan, dove. Yikes.

But Pat's main stance is isolationist. Pat is also mad about the liberal immigration stance of Dubya.

Why he can't support Kerry, I don't know. Kerry also supports being tougher about immigration laws and border patrols. That's part of his safe America stance. Don't forget many of the terrorists of 9/11 were here on expired visas.
