Am I glad McCain/Palin didn't get elected?
HELL YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel very hopeful about the next 4 (hopefully 8) years and still feel positive about the fact that Obama won in November despite disagreeing with a few of his cabinet picks and choice of Warren for his invocation but I feel that I can easily overlook some of these things because the alternative would've simply been insufferable. Obama never said he would be perfect and, in fact, I believe he went out of his way to TELL us that he'd do (some) things that upset (some) people but no politician I know of had everybody on their side 100% of the time so I recognize that there will be some disappointment/disagreement about some of his decisions but I believe that he will make the right ones FAR more than he will the wrong ones. I also believe that Obama has put together, on balance, a great looking team and I'm eager to see what they can/will accomplish working together. It's pretty much how I felt about Clinton except I think that Obama has the benefit of being able to learn from some of Clinton's earlier mistakes and won't repeat them, he and his crew seem to know how to handle the media and the Republicans, and, at least so far, nothing the media and/or Republicans have thrown at Obama appear to be sticking, which all bodes well for Obama and his administration. I'm just thankful that sanity will (soon) be returning to the WH and the Federal Government.
