Larry Elders on CNN
He was on there defending the "Magic Negro" song. Sad just sad. As a black man I just want to shake some common sense in to that dude.

16. As I see it, the offense is not the use of that term.
But when you couple that with "magic," it comes off like a racist vaudeville show. It's disgusting.

5. He seems to have missed the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, when LBJ said the Dems just
lost the south for a generation and the Republicans southern strategy. He is talking about the parties before they literally switched spots and the racist southern Dems switched and became Republicans - Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms. He was really ridiculous tonight trying to blame it on Democrats when, as Hilary Rosen pointed out, the Dems had nothing to do with this. The idiot circulated it all on his own to people within his own party.

19. Did KABC fire the Prick?
I haven't listened much in the past couple of years but I did catch Al Rentel's shtick a couple of weeks ago. Elders seemed a perfect fit for the knuckle draggers to listen after getting their dose of Hannity.

I always got the impression that Larry's dad thought his son was a real asshole.

22. Yeah, he started going into some rant about the Democrats being the racist party.
Which always makes me laugh, because the modern Republican Party built its base when the racist Democrats bolted the party during the Civil Rights movement. All those northeastern Republicans, the Rockefeller Republicans, slowly became Democrats over the course of a few decades.

Now the Republican Party is dominated by white, social conservative racists. Anyone who wants to deny it just needs to look at an electoral map. Sure, McCain won the very heart of the Rocky Mountains and the heartland, but his best region was...the south!
