Blago is worth his weight in gold just for sheer entertainment value alone
I love this shit. Anyone who doesn't get a kick out of this needs to go out and get themselves a sense of humor. There's Blago up there doing his thing, defiant as hell, standing firm that he's innocent until proven guilty. Nobody is going to make this guy back down and quit his job. LOL.

Am I rooting for Blago? In a way, hell yes I am, and I'm hoping he's guilty of nothing more than spewing bullshit on the phone, and I hope Fitzpatrick jumped the gun with his overzealous attempt to crucify Fitzgerald for his phone conversations that might not prove anything other than he caught someone talking out of his ass.

Fuck Fitzgerald. If only he had the same moxie when it came to putting Republicans like Cheney and Bush behind bars.

1. I seriously doubt you'd see the humor if you lived in downstate Illinois.
But at least have some fun at our expense, I guess.

9. Lighten up. You're not the only state that has bragging rights on ruthless rich politicians
Case in point: my own ex-Governor Elliot Spitzer who I once predicted would be the next Democratic president after Obama. lol

2. Yeah but he reminds of that rep from Ohio who was equally defiant
and completely corrupt.

Blagojevich appears to have put a good person up as senator, and not one of the fabulous five either. I agree with Fuck Fitzgerald. For all the hero worshipping he gets here the facts are that he actually failed to accomplish much of anything on the Plame affair: after a belabored investigation he got nothing while criminals in high places got away with high crimes and misdemeanors bordering on treason. With Blagojevich he rushed to indict - and one has to suspect that the rush was politically motivated, perhaps politically motivated in the sense of Fitzgerald's future career choices. It would be sweet if this investigation failed to raise even a Libby-level conviction, but as I said I suspect otherwise.

3. I have a feeling Caroline Kennedy is digging it too!
The media has just found something far more entertaining to talk about.

6. I don't think it's funny at all and I'm embarassed to say that I voted for Blago.
I've contributed to a terribly corrupt political system. Corruption eats away at the effectiveness and efficiency of government and it wastes millions of dollars that could be used to make lives better. It makes a joke out of us all. And no, it wasn't the hair.
