1. How do you feel about it?
I never heard of him. Noticed that he has no political experience, though, which is the criticism made of Caroline Kennedy.

Kind of ironic.

2. 3 vs 1..
If you combine all 3 "good picks" - it defeats the 'poor pick' selection by 15%.

DP and RMN are both right-wing rags.

9. no legislative experience
has never held elective office, no campaign experience - I oppose picking someone who has never stood before the voters, expecially for this high of an office, on principal alone.

almost nothing is known vis a vis his positions on the issues, it would have been nice for the public to weigh in on this somewhat

unknown in state, has no natural constituency

will face uphill battle for election in 2010 because of these things

has connections to Philip Anschutz, which make me uneasy.

there were much better options available, this is a complete puzzler...

and that also makes me uneasy

5. Not my first choice.

Speaking as a Coloradan, I would have preferred DeGette, Hickenlooper or Perlmutter.

This guy's never run for or held elected office before.

That and Denver Public Schools teachers are not fond of him. I heard one DPS teacher ranting on AM760 (Denver's local progressive talk station) that he axed budgets, increased class sizes and made kids go to school in classrooms that were in violation of fire code.

6. I don't like the pick either.
He's easily as inexperienced as all the people bitching about Caroline Kennedy but without the name recognition and fund raising ability. I think this pick will make it a very competitive seat again in 2010. I sure would like to know what Ritter was thinking when he made this decision.

My preference was Romanoff, but any of the others you mentioned would be fine with me too.

7. Does anybody know enough about this man to vote honestly?

8. I disagree that he has no political experience.
Being superintendent of a large urban school district is inherently political. In fact, that's pretty much all it is.

Some teachers may not like him, but I don't think it's overwhelmingly bad feelings.

I would have preferred Andrew Romanoff, myself. I think Bennet will do fine.
