What is wrong with our Party. We seem to practice fratricide at hte worst possible time. I don't know who is worse, LIEberman, Ferraro or Feinstein. What a disappointment...and to top it all..Blago and Burris

2.  She is absolutely correct, on both counts and I am no fan of hers. But right is right.

3. I'm posting this because the TOLL FREE Capitol Hill switchboard numbers are in my sig line.
I just called her office (1:50pm pacific time) and got through - which kinda surprised me.

REGISTER YOUR DEEP OUTRAGE AND CONTEMPT!!! ESPECIALLY if you're a Californian. They care more about their own state, not that she cares that much about what a majority of us in this state want.

Evidently, this woman's ego is far more important than it is to support her President-Elect. And this particular woman would have been (and I believe HAS INDEED been) among the first to say we all have to support the president and give him the people he's picked to work with - when bush was "pResident."

Call and tell them you're pissed!!!

6. perhaps she simply doesn't think Pannetta is the best choice...

based on her role with the Intelligence Committee. OTOH there are a lot of big egos in DC.

7. Ever see a warehouse fire?
It starts with a wisp of smoke, then you'll see a few rats scurrying to get out, as the fire gets bigger more and more rats start pouring out of the building.

As Obama gets closer to being sworn in the fire is starting to build, and the Republicans in Dem clothing rats are getting worried.

9. Sorry DiFi, no war criminals to head the CIA this time.
That's what has her panties in a bunch. Not that Panetta isn't a career spy, and not even that Obama didn't say "Mother may I" to her before he made his pick.

Feinstein's in it deep. Like Pelosi, and like Reid, she was in the loop when the Bushies were authorizing waterboarding and other war crimes. If the new head of the CIA isn't a fellow accomplice, she's in danger. And rightly should be after her complicity.

10. Chill. Criticism & expressing her desire to be consulted is not "fratricide".
DiFi is the chair of the Intelligence Committee; I think she has a right to be consulted (but probably not a right to be insulted if she isn't). People speaking up when they're left out of the loop is pretty basic function of democracy. It'd be doormatty of her if she got bypassed in the process and didn't speak up. You don't get to be a senator if you're a doormat.

Anyway, it's a hell of a lot better than the opposite problem: Republicans just meekly rolling over and going along with whatever shit Bush did without consulting Congress. Given the choice between rancorous democracy and creeping fascism, I think I prefer the rancor.

I think you just want to be outraged about something.

12. Professional courtesy and following the law is all she crying about
I think she pretty much sucks (though I'd swap her for either of our Reichwing nutbars) but she should have been cut into the loop and probably Burris is legally a lock for the seat.

Now, when it comes to the actual nomination then she can suck eggs. She wants the status quo to be sure and none of the hacks she favors should be trusted.

15. Welcome to Washington. This is the same kind of resistance all Presidents face. Bill Clinton faced
resistance from the Democratic controlled Congress too. It's all part of the game of politics. Everyone has their territory marked and they don't mind biting if they feel you're trespassing.
