Caroline's Inexperience a "Minus", Gov Says
By Michael Clancy

When it comes to Carolyn Kennedy, New York Gov. David Paterson is considering the pluses and minuses.

A minus would be her lack of legislative experience, Paterson said.

"She does not have much political, I mean, legislative experience, which is a minus." Paterson told the New York Post.

But Paterson, who told the Post that he's spoken with 10 candidates about Hillary Clinton's Senate seat, also praised Kennedy, saying she "obviously does have a tremendous relationship with that's certainly a plus."

Kennedy's relationship with Obama seems to loom large in the governor''s mind, as Paterson reiterated a similar point to the Daily News, saying of Kennedy: "We're looking at legislative experience, we're looking at the ability to make things happen; we're looking at relationships that can be developed."

1. Oh, Stop Flirting Already
Paterson needed to make his decision public three weeks ago, when Blago's scandal was blowing up. The longer he waits, the more chance of causing Obama embarrassment if it's not CK.

4. There's nothing wrong with waiting until the seat is actually open to appoint someone to it.

7. Yeah, he just needs to decide
who he'll pick and simply announce that person whenever it's the right time. Although shouldn't Hillary have resigned by now? I mean, does anyone actually think she won't be confirmed as Secretary of State?

8. well, that's kind of obvious
I mean, would he say that her inexperience is a plus? Anyways, I would probably be fine with her as a senator, but I do like that he is looking at other candidates as well.

11. Looks like Paterson is working
towards giving the You Know Princess of Park Avenue a mindless blank check. I like Paterson, but I don't like where this is heading.

(Keep in mind people, there ARE other Dems in NY that Paterson could pick. It's not like it has to be Caroline or some Republican.)
