Old Testament wing vs. New Testament wing of the Democratic party

We sent to the gallows or to jail people for just planning wars of aggression. The day we start extraditing former Presidents to The Hague to face justice is the day that America will be cleansed from her sins.

I just don't like when people point to the Constitution and claim it mandates something it clearly does not.

As the old saying goes, men will not be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest.

and I would like to see justice done. Those who deliberately break laws, as has been the case with BushCo and friends during these past eight years, deserve to be held accountable for their actions.

I find the Old and New Testaments used poorly as metaphors here for many reasons. And even if one did follow the New Testament bit, there would have to be some evidence of repentance before mercy could be shown.

There has been no evidence of repentance so far and I firmly believe that there never will be. BushCo and their apologists believe that ethics, taking responsibility and accepting the consequences of one's deliberate behavior are for everyone else ... and they judge "everyone else" very harshly. Why else does the US have the highest prisoner population in the world?
