It's a fascinating bit of history audio from 1963 from a train ride from Chicago to D.C. with lots of hopeful people on board.

http://studsterkel.org/results.php?keywords=this---train 3 minute version.

1. One of my high school friends and I went by bus from NYC to D.C.
It was a great day that started in the wee hours and ended very late. The best day for this then 16 year old getting ready to start senior year.

Thanks for the link to the audio. I certainly have my own memories. :hi:

4. It was...
We told our parents we were going to spend the day at Palisade's Amusement Park. But we went into the city and got tickets t D.C. I can't imagine how we were able to get seats but we did. The bus was full, as I recall.
