It's amazing how America has embraced the Obamas.

Think Bush could have this type of response if he rolled through cities on a train prior to his inauguration? I think not!

2. If he'd done it in 2001, I think he would have had the same reception.
At least in terms of number of people and excitement. Of course, the average IQ of his crowds would have been nowhere near as high as Obama's, so they are different that way.

He had the Presidency handed to him in a Supreme Court decision. There was a lot of anger when he came into office and the country was very divided in our view of Bush.

12. But there would have been as equal of anti-Bush people there.
That's the point I think I was trying to make. You're not seeing throngs of anti-Obama protesters out there.

There would have been groups, but also huge protesters. Do you remember his inauguration in 2001? It was ugly.

14. Are you serious? People were throwing tomatoes and other detritus
at him in 2001. He'd just been foisted on us by the supremes.

6. It is. Even Michele who the wingnuts had hoped to depict as the
unattractive, angry, black woman. I found it hilarious that Michele always polled better than frosty...er Cindy McCain.

7. He's currently enjoying 50% support from Republican voters....
Which is a direct indication that his strategy of change through at least some respectful bipartisanship is working.
