5. WOW--I got a chill looking at that, how very, very cool...
What have been on the plates of previous presidential limos?

Not 43, 42, 41, etc., to my knowledge.

6. I guess it can't say "President" yet - wonder if the other have said Pres or CinC or #1 or something

8. Clinton's had "Taxation Without Representation", Bush's did not.
You probably know that the standard DC plates bear that slogan.

I'm trying to research the actual numbers on past plates, nothing yet...

7. OK, that is fucking badass...
Very cool. I remember being at a restaurant in D.C. during the mid 90's and a huge motorcade came by. My parents told me it was President Clinton. Of course I was just a little kid so I didn't pay any attention to the license plate. I was just amazed that we were that close to the President. Came cruising right by the restaurant and we were at a window table, literally 10 yards from the street.

12. Anyone born in 1944 has a special bond with Pres 44
Having been born in March of 1944, and with Mr. Obama assuming office starting at noon on January 20th, I expect to henceforth be treated with great deference and endless respect here at DU, along with all the other 44s. I thank you in advance.

20. I am sure it is
They probably have a special registration as do other agencies in DC

Clinton changed his to a "Representation for DC" at the end (the VERY end) of his term. Bush quickly changed it back.
