The History Channel's White House: Behind Closed Doors is awesome.

It aired last year, but I'm catching it now.

The only big downside is that it's hosted by the Bushes.

But still, it's awesome looking at this building. So much history!

3. Did you see any of C-Span's week-long series that they did on the White House last month?

It was incredible... they took cameras into many of the non-public areas - the private rooms upstairs, the kitchens downstairs (there's a Chocolate kitchen AND a pastry kitchen! along with the main kitchen, the gardens, the Green Room, the Red Room, the Blue Room, the Lincoln Bedroom among others ... and a tour of the personal area hosted by Laura Bush - lots of the artwork and furniture, stories...

It ran every night for a whole week, just a great history lesson. Keep your eye out for it, they'll probably be re-broadcasting it from time to time, I think they showed some just this past weekend... and the videos might be available on their website, too.
