Six Cabinet Members Confirmed


Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

The Senate unanimously approves half a dozen Obama nominees with a single vote following the Inauguration.

Vote puts in place Secs. Salazar, Shinseki, Vilsack, Napolitano, Duncan and Chu.

Budget director Orszag also approved.

Plus: Reports say HHS nominee Daschle skips inaugural festivities to visits with sick relative.

I'm just THRILLED to have a Secretary of Energy like Chu - I have great hopes.
