The thing I liked the most about Obama's Inaugural speech
was that he called George W Bush a complete and monumental fuck-up of epic proportions without even saying his name and without any cussing.

He also told the entire country that during his (Obama's) tenure we would be doing everything pretty much the opposite of what's been going on for the last 8 dreadful years under the Bush administration, only he said it more politely than any of us would have.

It was a much better speech than what some Repukes, the few that still think Bush is wonderful, would give him credit for. I don't think it was a speech that was meant to ooh and ahh us. I think it was a speech that meant to get down to business. Also, it was a gutsy speech because he really did put a verbal whipping on Bush, whether everyone realizes it or not.

1. I realized it that night when I listened the second time through
and we were yelling out names that fit the "crimes" he mentioned as he went through the speech. It was a total beyotch-slap to blivet** ... and what's more, blivet** knew it when he heard it the first time!

2. Yeah, it was a speech for the times
and people who have been paying attention(which turns out to be quite a lot) loved it.

3. He did that so well. I was proud of him. He wasn't rude but he was
very clear about the things that had gone wrong in recent years and that things would be different from that moment on. It was bold and gutsy, yet within the bounds of civility. Heh.

And * deserved no better after he refused their request to move into Blair House like the petty, vengeful, village idiot he is.
