Anti-Bush views sway coverage
Anyone else want to write a letter to the Atlanta Journal
Constitution about this ridiculous column?

GUEST COLUMN
Anti-Bush views sway coverage

by Shaunti Feldhahn

I'm beginning to wonder whether our major news outlets should
run a disclaimer after any story about President Bush:
"This report reflects the personal opinion of the
journalist and does not necessarily represent XYZ News
Company's policy of objective reporting."

We all know that the media trend liberal — just 7 percent of
journalists identified themselves as conservative in the most
recent Pew Research poll. But while we may wince at biased
reporting every now and then, we generally trust media outlets
to prevent personal views from influencing news.

However, every now and then we glimpse the intense
journalistic desire to see Bush defeated, and see how clouded
journalistic integrity can become when reporters encounter
Bush-bashing stories that they desperately want to be true.

CBS' Dan Rather often demonstrates this tendency.

I think you checked the box for plain text. Need to uncheck it, then it's easy to drop the URL in.

3. And who is Shaundi Feldhahn?
Good friend of Beverly LaHaye, for one. Wrote a book called "Y2K-The Millenium Bug" for another. There's some cred for you.

Just another frother with opinions. Why, oh why, is she published?

6. Good question
She wrote one column in which she compared fighting gay marriage to fighting Nazi Germany, I kid you not. She got slammed, and then tried to backpedal furiously. She's as idiotic as they come.

5. Ms. Feldhahn is a regular in the AJC.
Check her credentials on the INTERNET and you will find the she is among the legions of no-talent authors, trafficking in the "Jesus Trade". But, in defense of the AJC, they also present the views of opposing writers.

7. And the media company should also have big-old sign
some place prominent that reads "This news medium reflects the views and opinions of the owner - who is/are ..... and have affiliations to .... groups/party" - to make the declaration complete.

8. Yes, the media "trends liberal" so much it has puffed up Bush*

in the 2000 and 2004 campaigns.
