Today I encountered two people (total strangers) that made
negative and insulting comments about President Obama. The first one happened this morning as I was getting a shot. The nurse who was administering the shot and I were having a conversation about the economy. Comments about how terrible it is with all the unemployment and foreclosures. Then she very sarcastically repeated several times, "Our friend Obama will fix it, our friend Obama, blah, blah. I looked at her and said, "President Obama IS my friend and I wish him the very best in trying to clean up the mess." After my comment, we were both cool with one another while she finished her job.

Then this afternoon I was shopping in Publix, a super market in Florida. I was in the bread aisle and a big mouthed man was also there. Another older woman came down the aisle and Big Mouth asked her if she remembered baking bread. He said, Look at the price of bread. Big shot Obama doesn't have to worry about the price of bread, he can afford it." I so wanted to answer Big Mouth with a smart ass comment (like bush is so poor that he can't afford to buy bread???) but decided he wasn't talking to me and this was neither the time or place to get into an argument. I live in a super repugnant area in Florida and I'm totally appalled at the ignorance of most of the repukes.

3. I live in FL, but Tampa Bay area. Mostly, people are supportive in this area.
But my residence is in a pug area. The idiots can't think beyond the ends of their noses. They elected, again, an idiot pug to represent us in the house. The pugs are not in power. How do they expect to get their perks.. by the way, the guy only got his job because his daddy owned the seat for so long. He is completely ineffective. One of the worst rated. Yet, they re-elect him. Hello, what do you expect to get when the dems are in charge. I have a feeling that the state officials will be the only one's keeping the area propped up when they get "stimulus"... and another idiot move, this state desperately needs the stimulus help since ole' Jebby broke us. We are operating at in the negative, and this asshat votes against the bill that would help Florida. The guy is an idiot.. along with the rest of the puggies.

9. When working with the public, I feel one should remain neutral
and not show any partisan politics. I couldn't believe what she was saying, so I had to add my opinion. I wanted to say more, but thought better of it.

5. You have to remember, these illiterate psychos are used to being in control
Heck, even when President Clinton was in office, he wasn't really in control. The whole frikkin' nation was right wing.

Well, now they're getting their ass handed to them and they're not happy, however, they haven't learned to keep their psychotic, evil, sadistic mouths shut yet. They'll learn.

10. So here's the thing.. they have a lot of pent up complaints
They've spent eight years pretending that the Giant Craptacular smelled like roses. Now they get to call shit what it is and they can blame the non-white guy too!

11. I had a minor dust-up with someone in the office last week. It ended when I asked her
"Have you ever actually listened to anything PE Obama has ever said?" Since she couldn't answer "yes", the conversation ended there.

13. Well hell, there are plenty of those types right here!
You don't have to go seek medical care to hear that kind of crap, just log in here.

Hell, I didn't vote for the guy in the primary, and I'm giving him more support now than a lot of the people who were up my ass because I supported Hillary in the primary are doing now.

Don't expect the GOP to be liking Obama for awhile. Just ignore them.

Obama is not going to get praise from those people, because they're losing jobs and houses too, thanks to their heroes of the last eight years. He's got a tough row to hoe with this economy, make no mistake. It's why I'm giving him plenty of latitude and cutting him a fair amount of slack to get his administration up and running--Rome wasn't built in a day, and this economy will take time to fix.
