Ok I know this is bs but please validate (Re: Virginia)
At the end of political science today, I heard that Kerry had given up the state, now I know for a fact thats not true but this coming saturday weather permitting, I'll be attending the Rally in the Valley in Loundon County, Va, I dont know where this guy got his sources but its obviously not true because I know Kerry is turning Virginia in to a battle state, I was shocked to fidn that I was one of the few who realized this, or could it be the republicans dont know. BTW I finally saw the infamous Willie Horton ad, and it is true as I was told that the best attacks aren't directly by the candiate but by others.

1. Not doing ads here was the statement but I did see DNC ads
and received an email that it was a swing state but no rallies near me

there are some gatherings though - sporadic

So Kerry is spending Ad money only in certain states - this allows others to advertise here if they chose

3. Virginia
It is true that DNC did not do a media buy for VA because the metro area includes DC and Maryland and is very expensive. Word is that there may be more money for VA later. However Kerry has sent staffers -- great deal of on the ground organizing going on. Northern Virginia is strongly pro-Kerry. The question on whether the state is a battleground state is academic; VA could be a real surprise in November.
