Specter and Collins are flirting with insanity (and gangster-ism)
Saw Specter and Collins last night saying a series of crazy things.

Specter says he agreed to 760 billion and that the conference report better be 760 billion or else.

But that's not the crazy part...

Collins carried on about how they hadn't removed anything from the bill because without their compromise proposal there would be no bill at all. So actually they added 800 billion to zero.

Think that through: the Collins "compromise" brings on-board the needed votes for passage, consisting of... Collins! That's not a compromise, that's writing the bill. She's pretending that she somehow lacks the power to vote for a 950 billion bill. Classic "can't" used to mean "won't" situation.

So only her tireless work appealing to herself could have won her vote.

That's the essence of gangster-ism: selling protection from yourself.

1. GOP Stills Badmouth Dems...Even When Bipartisanship
is extended.

Honestly I wish the democrats would stop working with these assholes.

Shortly after the Recovery Package passed, Kyl, Thune and a few other GOP senators walk out and immediately start badmouthing democrats, our president. Then comes the whining like little babies because big bad Dems and President Obama aren't seeking their tired old advice.

I wish i could find their comments but, it's the same shit they've been whining about for THREE weeks.

Then Spector and Collins come out and they start their whining & threats. http://www.investors.com/editorial/IBDArticles.asp?artsec=16&artnum=1&issue=20090210

For eight miserable years the democrats rolled over for Bush, all in the name of bipartisanship. Now a handful of Dem's are working against a Democratic president, in the name of bipartisanship.

ELECTIONS ONLY HAVE CONSEQUENCES WHEN REPUBLICAN'S RULE. They rule, democrats say "may we have another"

What's their reward from their friends on the other side? They immediately badmouth our President and those democrats who didn't cave into their demands.
