Is there a law preventing Kerry from making Bush's vacation an issue?

But I guess Kerry and the DNC are afraid they'll go to jail or something if they dare yell about this. Maybe they don't think it's "gentlemenly" to nag on the issue in concert. Or maybe they just don't have the killer instinct to win this darn thing. Or maybe they're just plain dumb when it comes to campaigning.

The President of the United States takes a month-long vacation (or as his people termed it, a "working vacation"), and a week after he finally returns to Washington, blam! 9/11.

If nothing else, Bush's sleeping on a hammock for thirty days -- and almost doing it with an attitude of defiance at the time! -- made the United States look like the captain was asleep at the helm.

I suppose making Rand Beers, the counter-terrorism czar who resigned in disgust under Bush (after Clarke, Bush's FIRST CT czar did the same), front-and-center in campaign speeches and Kerry commercials to refute Bush's claim of being the anti-terrorism warrior is against the law, too.

<sarcasm>

1. It's just like B*ush
He skipped out on his physical at the Guard, and skipped out on being president before 9/11--but he knows he'll get a pass. He always has. Assumes he always will.

As Kerry said today, he's the Excuse President.

"I wasn't on vacation, I was cutting brush!"

2. WP said * spent 42% of the time on vacation the first year. No one
added up the vacation time for the next 3 years. I believe he also gets up at 8am and stops work around 5-6. When does this guy get time to do anything. He doesn't read. Doeesn't seem to do much of anything.

3. He campaigns
& raises money.

His entire Presidency has been spent on vacation, campaigning, & attending fundraisers.

I would love to see stats on how many days he has spent NOT on those 3 activities.

4. Kerry campaign doesn't want to "offend" anyone
Meanwhile, the Pet Goat video, the item that could single-handedly destroy Bush, lies somewhere collecting dust.

6. Like how many times -- once or twice?
That doesn't accomplish jack rip.

The one thing Repugs do well is STAY ON MESSAGE and get EVERYBODY to go along with it, at the same time, with the same intensity. Why is this so hard for Democrats to do, especially since we have the facts on our side?
