I'm working with some PA folks on some Veterans for Kerry visibility activities up there.
One wrote, "Hey I love the visibility thing idea for October. Just talked with a scared Democrat today who really appreciated talking to another Democrat. Said all her neighbors are pro-Bush or won't vote, and she was beginning to think she was losing her mind."
I suspect there are a lot of folks who have nagging reservations about Bush and just need to see someone else stand up and say, "Bush really is taking America down the wrong road. We really do need a better president."
This is consistent with Carville & Greenberg's Democracy Corps analysis
"Part of the stability of this race are the grave doubts voters feel about George Bush. These doubts about Bush are largely undiminished in the last month: Bush favors corporate interests over the public interest (60 percent serious doubts), is too ready to go to war (58 percent), spending too much abroad and neglecting home (54 percent), and made mistakes in Iraq that shortchange America at home (54 percent)."
