Bristol Criticizes Sarah: "Her views on no-sex before marriage are unrealistic"
Her conservative mother has advocated that schools teach teenagers to abstain from sex before marriage but Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol says that's unrealistic.

The 18-year-old, who got pregnant at 17 and had a baby in December, said in a televised interview that the abstinence her mother preaches is 'not realistic at all'.
And in the interview with Fox News last night, she denied that her mother's anti-abortion views were the reason she went ahead with the pregnancy.

9. I don't think so either. I feel for Bristol as having a mother like Sarah Palin
would have made me run away as a teenager. Batshit crazy and what not. My parents are conservatives but not as nutso as Palin.

2. I saw part of the interview with the sound all the way down and it wasn't too bad.
Should I try it the other way?

3. Um Bristol, most of your Mom's views and opinions are unrealistic
and usually wrong. Glad you've figured it out.

4. Mama Sarah was in the room for the FOX News piece
They'll probably have a civil debate or two over lunch, but I think they've agreed to disagree.

7. this girl seems WAY smarter than her mother
I'm sure sarah palin is ashamed that she raised a daughter who actually possesses some common sense.

10. Why are they out? Why are they talking?
Is this entire thing designed to make Bristol a hero before 2012?

12. She took charge of her own body and
it is an experience I am sure she has learned from. As someone above said and I agree, it looks like Sarah and her mom have agreed to disagree. Meanwhile, from what I have read, the new Palin grandmother and father will and have given the Bristol and the babe the support they need at this time. I wish them well.

............. 'It was my choice to have the baby. It doesn't matter what my mum's views are on it. It was my decision.'

But she admitted that being a teenage mother was tough and that teen pregnancy was not to be encouraged.

'Everyone should wait 10 years,' Palin said. 'I hope people learn from my story. It's so much easier if you're married, have a house and career. It's not a situation you want to strive for.'

But one of the hardest parts of the experience it seems was telling her mother about the pregnancy in the first place.

That was tough, she said: 'Harder than labour'.

15. Bristol's a maverick!
Granny Palin should be beaming with pride that Bristol is following in her footsteps.
