I would have stayed away from red ..... in a room full of governor's wives (and governors for that matter) it's an obvious choice.

Funny you should say that. I did a quick gander over at Neiman Marcus to see if I could find the red dress (you know that they had to have gotten it at NM, L&T, etc.) and I found the dress I would have worn.
