Wonk Room’s James Kvaal appointed to National Economic Council.

ThinkProgress would like to congratulate our friend, James Kvaal, for his recent appointment to a position on the National Economic Council. James served as a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and, prior to that, as policy director for the John Edwards 2008 presidential campaign. He was an original and frequent contributor to The Wonk Room, offering a range of policy insights that helped advance progressive causes. (See his posts here.) We’ll miss James, and we wish him the best of luck as he works with to tackle our nation’s economic crisis by offering progressive solutions.

Update: Previously, Wonk Room contributors Robert Gordon (Office of Management and Budget) and Robert Sussman (EPA Senior Policy Counsel) have accepted positions in the Obama administration.
