They could have taken his subcommittee chair away from him, but until he loses re-election in CT, he is still a vote in the Senate.

Without him, the Dems have the Majority, the only reason it barely passed is because the Dems have no backbone, and the repuglicons know that...

If Coleman tried to get a case before the USSC, I believe they'd refuse to hear it so fast Coleman's head would spin.

Because they can't come up with grounds to make it a Federal issue. There is no Federal issue involved in a statewide election. Could they try and get creative and come up with something? I suppose, but on its face I can't imagine what that could be... and the SC will be loathe to set a precedent of the court getting involved in statewide election disputes on issues that are solely within the individual state's jurisdiction.

I believe that's why you haven't heard the Coleman side claiming they would "take this all the way to the Supreme Court."

They can't even consider any thought of the USSC until they thoroughly exhaust their remedies in Minnesota anyway, because the SC would even consider it until that is complete.
