During the primary at times I thought he was a repuke. I should've trusted my first instinct.

2. well that's a pretty libelous accusation
wonder what he expected as an outcome?

I think AC is cute, but he is a bit full of himself these days, which reduces his credibility.

Being accused of being "cute" should be worse than of being an LCR suckup, but alas it is not.

LCR "our savior is behind the comet" morons are pretty damn deluded and deserving of no professional respect whatsoever.

AC please say it isn't so.

3. I can't imagine he's officially a member of Log Cabin Republicans.
Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 11:11 AM by gauguin57
He'd be an idiot even to be registered to vote as anything but an independent. I hear more and more journalists are registering this way; some don't even vote, so they can show some sense of objectivity (having no horse in the race).

I've heard references to the "log cabin" part for a long time. But that's his own personal business.

I can imagine him leaning Repug, since he comes from such a wealthy family. But I can also imagine him leaning Dem.

5. It was clear from his election year talking points that he is a Republican and of course, he's gay.
Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 11:18 AM by ClarkUSA
John King is also a Republican but he's not gay (engaged to Dana Bash).

"hurr hurr he's gay and he's not as liberal as I would like hurr hurr."

8. I cannot find any concrete evidence, but if you google it you will find rumblings of it.
I think it's true.

14. I think it's just people attacking him for being both gay and an occasionally lazy journalist
happy to read pre-printed talking points instead of actually digging into important stories.

13. So he got his due, huh?
I recall he was always very bitter and resentful about Howard Stern and frequently claimed that Stern stole his act from him.

16. Here's a link:
http://out.com/detail.asp?id=22394

I didn't know the gay part was a surprise. The Rethug part surprised me. I heard Kathy Griffin say one time that AC wouldn't come out because he travels to countries where that lifestyle evokes a violent reaction. That could be a copout.

20. That doesn't refer to him being a Log Cabin Republican, but is just saying that he's gay.
Which we all knew already.
