Just now on C-Span, Black State of the Union.

He is giving President Obama his due for his first 40 days in office.

Encourages folks to read the 11,000 stimulus package!

Said Green = Dollars as well as repowering America!

9. I am VERY dissapointed with Dr. Cornel West
I can't believe he thinks that Obama threw Jeremiah Wright under the bus, just to win an election.

would learn how to stop being so divisive! Like.. get a grip, West.

Wright threw himself under and it's not all about Wright even though the corporatemediawhores would have us think so.

11. Actually Wright threw Obama under the bus first...
He basically called Obama dishonest. How else was Obama supposed to react to that?

15. Obama and Wright have a fundamental disagreement about what it means to be a truth teller
Their roles are different. If you are not religious, this paradigm I trying to use to explain the difference will fall on deaf ears.

Wright in the role of prophet. I'd like to think of it as the one in the time of David who asked someone to strike him. The first refused. The second came along and did as he was asked.

Obama in the role of manager. There is the guy whose brothers sold him into slavery and becomes the administrator
over pharaoh's house. He is still calling on God asking for guidance but is doing what he can for the resources he's been given to manage. The free administrators were pissed with him because he was so good at what he did. They decided they would rally behind pharaoh to attack the administrator's religion. The man refused to bow.

When Wright refused to respect Obama's role as manager by showing his ass at the National Press gallery, he decided Wright would be a liability and cut him off. The moderate white voter who Cornell West was talking about could breath a sigh of relief because he did not have to take on or tackle the precepts of Obama's religion. The press and the right were trying to take him out on the basis of that religion.

It was never resolved, not because the media stopped asking but because Obama removed the shtick from consideration.
