3. He's delightful.
I hope he stays.

Maybe next, Rush will invite Steele on his show, so Steele can teach outdated urban slang to all the listeners. :D

6. Steele gave us "Frank Sinatra Republicans" and then something or other
about "hip-hop Republicans," and I hope he doesn't step down before we get "polka Republicans" and maybe "metal / punk" Republicans.

7. It's going to be interesting to see how the GOP handles this.
Will they fire the only token black guy in the GOP? I'm sure that is their dilemma ,they tried to present themselves as something other than the party of racist rednecks but it's not working out too well. They're shitting bricks right now,I'd bet on it.

8. Steele certainly is more capable and insightful than the public personna
he's exhibiting lately.

Well, I'm hoping he is, anyway.

For him to feel he has to kowtow to Rush Limbaugh suggests that he isn't as individually sturdy as I' thought he was or, more probably, that the GOP nowadays is a vortex of arm-twisting and nefarious bullies with a lot more brawn than brains.

Kissing Rush Limbaugh's posterior with loud public smacks doesn't seem like an ideal way to begin to reshape a political party.

9. Not until after the drubbing in 2010
The Reps will only pick up about 5-10 seats in the house and probably none in the senate. They'll have to blam ethat on someone, it will be Steele.

11. Sounds right to me
The party is so split between the ultra-conservative true blue Rushbots who can't win without the moderates and the more pragmatic moderates who can count votes, this is going to be fun. Can you imagine having to grovel and apologize to that tub of lard trying to keep the conservative neanderthals in the party. Pretty sad, but the congressional repugs have no pride.

And what was with Rush's black silk shirt and chest hair the other night? Who was that supposed to appeal to?

10. Hope he sticks around for a while. The GOP is a big fat ass boil
still in the pimple stage.

I wanna see this muffy fuffy erupt in epic proportions and it just can't happen without my homie Mr. Steele.

12. Whatever esteem that was held for him in the party was eliminated with
his spat with Limbaugh. He lost it with the Limbaugh wing (most republicans), he never had it with the racist wing, and if there are any moderates in the party they see him as bowing down to Limbaugh. His election to the job was not exactly a landslide.
