Los Alamitos Mayor steps down, doesn't even show up
The Council meeting was tonight and he tendered his resignation including resigning from the Council prior to the meeting then tucked tail and ran. Let's see if InSanity and Rush bite and put him on their shows this week.

1. "Police have stepped up patrols around Grose's home and business...
...after he found a smashed watermelon Wednesday morning on the sidewalk and door outside his business, EMS Medical Products."

8. The police traced the watermelon's financial records. That led them to al Qaeda.
If we've learned anything from George W. Bush, it's "follow the money." Always follow the money. Especially when dealing with a watermelon.

4. why does he need protection?
after all, a watermelon is just a watermelon. or so I've been told.

someone should tell him to stop being so sensitive. I'm sure the watermelon had nothing to do with him. it could have been any fruit. Lighten up. It was a joke. ladidaida.

ETC.

5. The guy screwed up epically, fucked his political career forevermore, then did the right thing.
Would that the rest of the politicos who got caught, or fucked up so badly would do the same. On both sides.

6. Sending out that picture was stupid
But sending it out to a black woman and thinking she'd find it funny?

Wow. Just wow.

7. He knew better and he regrets it immensely.
At least he knew he couldn't do his job to the best of his ability.
