White House Spokesperson, Robert Gibbs, is calm, informative and is able to
give information without it sounding like he is preaching.

Listening to his daily briefing has helped me to work on developing talking points to dispel the hysteria and naysayers.

Listening to Gibbs is just like attending a informative lecture.

He is a stellar spokesperson and is doing a wonderful job under the stresses this economy is under.

Yea Robert!!

 :fistbump: :headbang: :yourock:

4. I like Gibbs.

I want him to be an effective spokesperson and he can make some good points.

However, I often find myself at the edge of my seat rooting for him to find the proper framing and phrasing when he stammers, which is too routine for my tastes. He certainly has calm, friendly demeanor and perhaps that can carry him until he gets more experience in the grinder.

5. I feel the same way...
I really wish he was a better communicator-clear and concise answers to go along with his easy-going, friendly personality.

6. For pete's sake...give Gibbs a break.....
Honest to goodness, some of you people find the darndest things to complain about. I watch Gibbs every day he gives a briefing. I believe his "uh's" are the same thing President Obama was criticized for on the campaign trail - it is GIBBS time to think - the news corps are vultures - just waiting for Gibbs to really blow it - as Gibbs becomes more adapt at conducting briefings, so will his delivery. I agree with Ninga - considering the fact that the economy is in the tank, we have two wars going on, education is taking a dive, and health care costs are driving us to drink, Gibbs is doing a stellar job. I wonder just how some of you would perform if you were in his shoes...just complain, complain, complain, and not try to defend our president? GEEZ! Bang you head against the wall a few more times - maybe it will shake some sensibility loose. :banghead:

10. Not so much delivery as content. I thought the content of his answers today was very
good and informative.

11. The Difference Is That Gibbs IS In Obama's Inner Circle
I get the impression that Robert Gibbs sometimes struggles with trying not to get ahead of the President. In contrast, Bush's spokespersons would just simply repeat and recite the same talking points, and would simply freeze out the Helen Thomas's of the world who ask difficult questions.

13. Yes, Gibbs is Obama's confidant
That makes him different from any of Bush's spokespersons. They deflected questions that didn't make use of basic talking points.

15. In other words, after only 30 some days on the job, Gibbs is already ahead of previous
press secretaries.

I agree with what you say about him pacing himself to not get ahead of the President. Smart.

16. His "menance" is his knowledge and his ability to THANKFULLY, FINALLY, rephrase
and restate the questions to substantiate the view of the administration and to take the press corps to school on the complexities of the problems and the complexities of the solutions.

14. I like him and his style. When he pauses or says 'uh', I assume
he's actually thinking about what to say. That doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I appreciate it. As for the content, I think he almost always gives honest answers, not talking points.

... and they, having to remain neutral, sterile non-funny types, dont laugh back.

Gotta love the guy.

And here's a pic I love, 'cause we cant see it too many times...
